What We Do
Worship, healing, celebration, edification, giving thanks, emptying ourselves and being filled with the Holy Spirit
Equipping and mobilizing short-term missionaries to bless Brazil. Leading people in America to Christ and connecting them with local churches.
Sharing the Gospel with the spiritually and materially impoverished in Brazil, reminding the saved who they are in Jesus Christ. Reaching au pairs in America with the Gospel.
Seeking the least among us to remind them that they can do all things through Christ who gives them strength. (Gl 2:20)
Carlett was born in an unchurched, poor home in Para, Brazil to a single Mom who worked tirelessly as a seamstress to support her family. The youngest of five children, Carlett, by the grace of God, overcame premature birth, tropical disease as well as physical and spiritual poverty to surrender her life to Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior when she was 19 years old.
Since then, and unfailingly on a daily basis, Carlett has been blessed as a vessel of the Holy Spirit completely surrendered in obedience to the Great Commission (Mt. 28:18-20). She has served as an indigenous missionary, urban evangelist and itinerant speaker throughout Brazil. Today Carlett's entire family is saved and her Mom is with the Lord in Heaven.
Carlett is married to David, a Pastor and Director of Global Initiatives at a non-denominational, evangelical megachurch in the United States. They have two daughters, Indy Lara and Sarah, and live in San Antonio, Texas.
Carlett's message to everyone she meets is that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life, and that nobody comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6), and that regardless of life circumstance or sins, God loves all people beyond comprehension. God has a divine purpose for everyone. Carlett's passion is to lead the most improbable of the lost sheep into a transformational relationship with Jesus Christ.
Director of Health Initiatives
Dr. Ylana Lima is a medical doctor hailing from Para, Brazil. She oversees all health initiatives at Missionary Carlett Ministries.
Missionary Carlett Ministries is a non-denominational ministry organization passionately focused on reaching people in the darkest places of Brazil with the life-transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is done through itinerant preaching and bridging American churches and ministry partners with Brazilian churches and ministry partners. The purpose is to ignite missional movements in Brazil to make Jesus evermore known and obeyed.
Missionary Carlett Ministries is boldly bringing the Gospel to the broken in Brazil in order to raise transformational leaders and spark missional movements to win entire villages and cities for Christ. We dream of seeing a future generation of Brazilian missionaries being launched into the darkest corners of the world to share the Gospel with remote unreached people groups.
Additionally, we are called to reach with the love of Christ the au pairs from around the world who come to America. Many au pairs have stories of brokenness and some have endured dire circumstances. God has placed in the heart of this ministry a desire to share God's boundless, eternal love for the au pairs of the nations. Through festive and educational monthly gatherings, social media networking and lifelong Christ-centered friendships, our dream is to see God mold and raise up an army of au pairs who would return to their home countries as salt and light of Christ.
We are vessels of Jesus on mission to honor, serve and lift the least in our midst. We lock arms with the broken to speak life and light into the darkness. We live in lockstep with Jesus to leave the 99 in search of the lost one (Luke 15:4)
